as you mentioned in your summary an automation system involved PLC, HMI, and other elements can be very useful for you. but you should consider these are only the components. the most important thing that your designer should design is a controller. using these components provide some abilities (as software or hardware) to develop your controller. you can use the same controller as you already have or improve it. My plan for this project is to introduce you the abilities of an automation system, decide about a certain system and perform the project. the things that i will give you, in the end, will be: 1) PLC and HMI (and other components) program 2) new electrical circuit, 3)the list of the components that you need 4)support your technician to assemble the components for sure i will support you for some possible problems in future.

We been automating plants for about 10 years, mostly food related plants, have experience with rockwell PLC (control logix, compact logix etc) also very knowledgeable in SCADA systems, like wonderware, and Factory Talk View. First of all i determine the Digital&Analog Inputs and Outpus, then i do create the algorithm of the desired system in Microsoft Visio before beginning to write code. After creating the algorithm, i start writing the code in TIA PORTAL, then i simulate the code in PlcSim correcting the Errors and Adding&Adjusting the Functions of the System. At the end, i write the Instruction Set on how to control the System on HMI (Operator Panel). After completion of control part of the overall Project, i draw schematics of the Control Cabinet, create BOM (Bill of Materials) in Eplan P8 and Model Views in 3D in Eplan Pro Panel. I can contribute all the time i have to your project as i have no job currently. As i said above, if you give me the I/O list (Input/Output) both in Digital&Analog and the working princible of the system, i can start the project right away. I can promise that your HMI screens will have an aesthetic look accourding to your requests while your code will be too solid. Do you have a proper enclosure for the control cabinet? If not dont worry, i will determine the size of the enclosure creating 3D Model Views in Eplan Pro Panel right after i drawn schematic of the electrical panel. Firstly if you tell me all the intruments you have in your stock including the info of brand and part number or the instuments you're already using in your current 3V Brewery performing.
