I'm good with images and had worked in object detection, segmentation, classification as well as GAN's. After reading your description, I assume you are converting the 2D floor plans which is in the raster format to vector format. 1. The variant of edge detector can be applied to pixels to identify the strong edges. 2. Creation of the curves / lines using the splines.( Bicubic interpolation can be used) 3. after defining the boundaries, the simple flood fill algorithm to fill the color ( if present) Thank you for your patience in reading my comments.
