My country has a free state owned TV media library that mirrors whatever is shown on TV for a week or two. Unfortunately they delete the stuff after those ~2 weeks and I often miss out on shows that I would've loved to watch at a later time. This is the website: [login to view URL]
What I need is a python script to scrape the site, extract Themes (top right dropdown "Themen"), then for each Theme there is a show name ("Sendung") and lastly there's the episodes in those shows. So it's basically a 3 level structure. I want to use youtube-dl to download all these shows, it works, I've already tested it by feeding it links to episodes. So your task is to scrape the site, get all themes, get all show names for each theme, then get all episode links for each show and format it in the youtube-dl list syntax so each show lands in the right folder (I can help you with this part).
If you do a good job I'd love to expand this project to add email notifications, show exclusions and so on. The language should be python since I want to run this on my synology NAS. I don't know python but I'm a programmer myself so I won't need much hand holding.
