1. Can you review the source code for a particular website and tell me how they are avoiding duplicate content problems? The website has an encyclopedia of information, and most of it relates to the whole country (USA). They also have state-specific pages dealing with the exact same content. I've noticed that both (i) the nation-wide why I need a real estate agent and lawyer, and (ii) the state-specific why I need a real estate and lawyer pages are both tagged "canonical." What's their strategy? Is it a good strategy? 2. For that website (nolo) and similar one ([login to view URL]), can you provide one-page of insight into the pros and cons of each of their site architectures? Background: I am starting from scratch and creating a better version of their content. I am new to SEO, and would like my site architecture to be as good as theirs. I've read "The Art of SEO" by Eric Enge and others, but have otherwise no experience trying to obtain organic traffic. My expertise is in legal education (MBA, MEd, JD).
