looking for a hip-hop social media genius. full-time, long-term

I own and operate a Los Angeles-based music promotion business. We are hired by US hip-hop artists to submit their music to websites, playlist curators, editors, writers, djs, radio stations and tv networks across the US and the world. We are looking for a social media genius to help get their videos more organic views, their songs more organic plays, and their social media account more organic followers. At any time I have about ten artists who need social media help. Our focus will be on Youtube, Facebook, Spotify and Soundcloud are primary, and Instagram and Twitter to a lesser extent. We are looking for one person who will have login access to all these pages, and will monitor and develop them. • We would give you access to all these accounts. We'd need you to tweak them for basic optimization, best practices, etc. • We need you to be very skilled with running ad campaigns on Facebook and Youtube TrueView. • Data scraping skills would be a great plus. For instance, search Twitter for a highly target list of handles to follow, or search the internet to develop a list of names and email addresses of new DJs so that we can send them music. • Working closely with me to devise new strategies to find followers and gain video views and song streams, and execute those strategies. Think outside the box. This is an essential part of the job. We have many ideas on how to increase social media follows and engagement that we’d like to build on with the right person, and we expect that person to bring ideas to the table as well. We basically need a social media Swiss Army Knife – a person who knows some tricks, is eager to create some more, and isn’t scared of a challenge. We are only looking for real followers – no fake activity whatsoever – and they need to be hiphop fans. We understand this takes longer to achieve and that’s fine. Developing hip-hop artists’ social media is not the same as social media for more conventional businesses like restaurants and companies. Music is much harder to sell than services. People need cars, food, dentistry, etc., so as long as you present the product properly on social media, you can get results for companies like those. People don’t need music, and America right now is exploding with new hip-hop artists, so the public is very hard to convince. It is also very hard as a social media manager to post content for a hip-hop artist because they tend to have a very unique online voice that will be hard for you to replicate. We aren’t expecting lightning fast growth across all these pages. We are just looking for someone who will spend their workdays working hard experimenting with creative techniques that will get these guys more followers and listeners. I think my most important question to you is: how you would you promote music on social media? Not polls, not contests, not posting at a certain time of day.. none of that. What do you have that’s new and creative. Other skills needed: Good English written skills Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/etc) A love of hiphop and/or urban music is not mandatory but it's a big plus We are looking for full-time employees with a long-term interest in this business. Salary negotiable based on experience.
