We are looking for a .Net developer to write a Microsoft Azure Web App that will be deployed in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. This application is a Lead Receiver Engine (LRE) that will receive web form submission data (Leads) from third party websites and will save them to a database. Following are the specs for LRE:
LRE will receive leads from third party systems via HTTP POST. It will listen on HTTPS port for inbound requests. Once a request is received the LRE will:
- accept the data
- look up data definition based on the ID field in the received data set**
- save the "raw POST data" to a lead record in a database
- parse the data
- save parsed data to the same lead record in the database
- send back a response of “OK” if data has been received successfully
- send back a response of “NOK,[reason]” if there has been any errors in receiving, validating, or saving data
Application must have the ability to receive multiple simultaneous connection requests, and can accept, process and save the data from those multiple connections simultaneously.
Application will be deployed as Web App in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
** Note on data definition for lead records:
- LRE will receive inbound data for different lead types (ie. CPA leads, auto leads, insurance leads).
- These leads contain different set of information (ie. name, phone number, email address, car make, car model, age, etc.)
- Inbound data will have a specific ID field (named LTID) that will identify what lead type is being sent (ie. LTID=123).
- LRE needs to be able to look up the lead record definition in an XML file based on LTID.
- XML file will define the fields that are available for the lead type, as well as whether the field is required, and what format the data should be in (ie. date, number, etc).
- XML file will also have the table name where the record should be saved
- Sample lead record definition file is attached.
Confusion with XML file, please do not award now, I want to discuss with you and want to make me 100% clear on the requirement before start work on it. I would not mind to give you a free consultancy.

> I need to create the API End point for you which will be used by several websites. I am assuming they will post not a Set of data in XML, correct? They will simply send the data as parameter, please confirm me.
> Is there will be any authentication or any anonymous user can access the API end point?
> I understand that the ID is the key for each call which will define the category but in XML file there is no categories mentioned have you checked?
> Save the "raw POST data" - I am assuming you want to store all the data for an API call. Please let me clear if you only want to store the fieldname="raw_data" mentioned in XML.
> Parse the data- I am not sure what you mean by this parsing? What data need to parse, please specify.
> I will send when all the definition will match with the XML and we will successfully insert the data.
> I will send NOK with reason, reason may be mandatory value missing, LID not matching with XML. Is there anything else I am missing?
Now, I am not sure why you want to use XML for this look-up process? We can create a table and can look-up from this table easily, is it not? I am thinking that if there is a huge data in XML then select and mapping will be much more complex.
