I'm a home owner seeking to open a door in a concrete wall (11 inches thickness). the opening will be in a common area and therefore I need approval of my proposed structural design which I will submit in attachments. the approval must be stamped by a structural engineer from Quebec. the opening dimensions are: 81 inches height and 48 inches width the structural element that I'm adding (in attached pics red color) is a steel beam c-shape with width of 3 inches that will support the opening.
