3D Unity Modeler for Dungeons & Dragons Encounters

About the company: Quest Chests, a name that one day will be synonymous with “tabletop roleplaying,” is a digital content producer for the 5th edition of the world’s oldest and greatest fantasy, tabletop roleplaying game! At our core, we write and sell monthly adventures which maintain and drive a consistent narrative over the course of six months. These adventures will be produced and distributed through an online platform that will allow us to embed video content. Some of this video content will be “fly throughs” of 3D modeled settings directly related to the adventure’s narrative. These 3D models will allow the Game Master and their players to get a literal view of these fictional locations in addition to their accompanying text descriptions. Job Summary: Quest Chests is in need of a 3D modeler who can take the pre-designed fantasy themed location described in this document’s Appendix, and bring it to life using the Unity game development program. Appendix: The location we need modeled is called “The Southern Spear,” one of many massive spires of rock which rize several hundreds of feet out of the ocean a few miles off the coastline in our fictional setting. In ancient times, these spires were enormous statues which depicted great warriors, but over countless centuries those features are all but completely eroded away. Now these spires serve a different purpose with lighthouses being built atop their peaks. The model will need to depict the following: The Southern Spear (and it’s 3 locations rising up out of a grey and choppy ocean. In the far distance you should be able to see the faint image of a coastline made of sheer cliffs that extends back into the country. The Lighthouse towers above you, its base of shattered rock not more than fifty yards away. Muli kicks his leg straight and the boat heads towards the dock rapidly. Lengths of thick chain hang limply down each side of the narrow entrance to the harbor. In the gap you see a pair of mussel encrusted masts rise above the surf, almost completely blocking the entrance. To the right of the harbor, a large section of wall has been smashed in. After you dock the skiff and tie her off, you disembark and head toward the courtyard. Bleached bones are scattered about and you can see tattered fragments of sea-blue leather and cloth. Shadows glide about in the relative calm of the harbor. High above, grey seabirds circle in a stormy sky, squawking an eerie welcome. Area A Exterior: To your right, the tile roof of a stone building has caved in. Area A Interior: Daylight filters down through the hole in the roof. Fragments of tile roofing are everywhere, embedded in the walls and blanketing the floor. More bones along with all manner of large seashells are mixed in with the debris. Atop the rubble in the building’s center rest the white bones of a huge humanoid creature. Area B Exterior: The doors on the building beyond it are torn from their hinges and lie in the small open compound. Area C: A narrow, well-worn path winds its way up around the stone column. Looking up you can see what appears to be a shelter cut out of the rock about halfway up. To the left of the path, built into the simple defensive wall, is a massive piece of stone that looks almost like it is part of a human nose. Since we are a startup company, we can only afford $200 for this project. As we begin to make sales within the next year, we hope to include an increase in pay as well.
