Senior Product Designer

About the job We're looking for a Product Designer to design software and interfaces for non-technical users that interact with a highly technical SaaS product. You'll combine interfaces and workflows to enhance our users' experience and make our product more intuitive. You should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UI/UX and other technical projects is essential. What You'll Do Define Our Product's Look and Feel You'll lead the design of our product. You'll develop wireframes and prototypes based on customer needs and work directly with developers, providing them product specs and assets and collaborating with them on how to build new features and improve existing ones. Understand Our Users You'll define user personas through user research and data analysis. You'll collaborate on product specifications and work to understand user psychology. Improve Workflows and User Experience Our product is very workflow intensive. You'll find creative ways to solve UX problems such as usability and findability. You'll conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback. You'll keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends. Who You Are Technical Skills You have proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role and a strong portfolio of design projects. You have knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus. You're familiar with interaction design and information [login to view URL] you'll have at least 5-8 years of experience being a professional designer. Communication and People Skills You'll work effectively across departments, working well with Product, Marketing, Engineering, etc. You'll communicate strategy, define team goals, and get people involved. A background in project management and research helps. Ownership and Impact You'll run point on small projects, taking them from concept to shipping as the sole designer (alongside a programmer). Over time, you'll run point on large projects as well, sometimes with assistance.
