Looking for expert in NTFS permission/folder permission. If I can explain bit more, I am looking for someone who can help me with restructuring folder permission in a small network environment. In simple english, we have security groups, which applies to folders/files, however we also give explicit rights to users on particular folder on request. Now I have got a request that they want to make permission more clear and so we need to remove users from as many folders as we can, and bring them under some security group. when I get report from a main folder (contains 5 folder level), it comes up with 75k lines, hence it seems impossible. Please feel free to question. I really want answer.

Hello, for what I undertand, you need to remove user specific permissions to folders and subfolders, and then set groups instead. You can remove single user permissions from folders and subfolders via command line, or if you prefer you can also reset the ACLs to default for all the folders/subfolders and then re-set up them from scratch.
