Mobius Coffeetable
Among different tools and equipment forgotten for years in an old man’s garage, the generator frame was found and given a new purpose. To preserve the concept and the initial idea of it, we designed this coffee table having in mind the flow of time, the energy conversion and the desire to represent the possibility of using infinitely mechanical parts, changing, of course, its objective. Combining all the ideas, we achieved the string art reproducing a Möbius strip alike spiral. The resulted organic form, 14 different colored/grained/textured oak wood and the upcycled generator frame gave to the final product, at the same time, a distinguished coziness and the ability to incite the viewer to reflect about philosophical dilemmas.
