For a client we need a new WordPress website.

WARNING: CONTAINS NUDITY

The existing website needs a complete makeover but ALL existing functions are still needed, plus a few new ones.
Basically we need what we have, but in a WordPress Theme.

The existing website was "custom made" over a decade ago, and is outdated and has a lot of quirks we need to get rid of.

There is a database connected to the website with a lot of different things.
Girls names, age, height, weight, cup size, description, pictures, menu, what other people have said (reviews) etc.
A database is also needed for the new website.
The girls come and go on a weekly basis, so it is very much needed that it is easy to both edit and crate new girls as well as make the existing ones dormant, when they take breaks from the business and come back on a later date.

It has to be EASY to maintain on a daily basis.
The only thing we already have is the VAGTPLAN which is the work schedule for the different girls.
That is already ready to be put in to the new website in an iframe.

This is a big job. I want entries from skilled freelancers only who can provide proof and references of existing similarly complex working websites that they have already made.

Function and design is equally important.
If you can only do the function part, we can find someone else in a separate contest to do the design and looks of it after all functions are working as they should.

There is of course an underlying database with all the girls, news etc. in it.
This we can provide for you so that you have something actual to work with.
We will need very close contact during this whole process so that you do not spend time on something that we needed differently, or miss a key function that you may have overlooked.

I need to know that the whole job can be done by you from beginning to end. We need a finished working website that "talks to the database" without problems.
The client will be updating and changing content on the website on a daily basis, so it needs to be user friendly for the admin and not too many html codes etc. needed.
Every girl needs to have their own url so that it can be linked to directly from the Vagtplan (weekly schedule) as it is now.

Can you do this?

The money offered for this project is not including whatever the price is for the WP theme. We will pay that extra on the side.
We are also willing to put up a separate contest for the design/color/ambience for the website, if you would like that.
So you can work on the website for functionality and coding etc. and forget about aesthetics as far as colors and looks go. Everything has to be in place, however.

Tell me what you would suggest for a theme that is user friendly for numerous daily updates by client with no, or very little knowledge of IT.
And show me a portfolio or something of past projects that are similar with databases or something so that I feel confident that you can do the job.

I will be providing feedback as best I can, as detailed as I can and as often as I can.
It will NOT be in private messages to begin with but in public. It is simply too difficult to have that many personal chats to each and every one who makes an entry.

Please spend some time to get to know the existing website, so that you understand what we need. Function function function.

If you have any additional questions, please post them in public, since others may be having the same questions and it is very time consuming to answer everyone one-to-one in the beginning.

I am very much looking forward to entries and questions from skilled programmers.
If the price is too low, we can provide a bonus in the end if you deliver what is promised.

    Hello, I'm not participating in this contest and with all due respect I want to say the overall design of your website is dated and not visually appealing at all. Your website is a reflection of your business. When someone is searching online, your website is where they form their first opinion of your company. An old or amateurish website reflects poorly on your business. The site is not mobile-friendly. Your site is not secur. That’s a problem! The last thing you want is for your client to get the impression that you are running a shady website. So, first and foremost, if you don’t have HTTPS, you need to get it.

      Eh... what kind of error? We've had no reports of downtime.

    Hello everyone.
    Today we finally got the files from the database this afternoon (Copenhagen time).
    I'm sorry for many reasons that it took us this long to get access to the database.
    I have extended the deadline, since it took us 12 days to get it.
    The files from the database are 708 MB and includes pictures of the girls etc.

    I'll be answering your questions during the next 24 hours, so we can move on as soon as possible.

    Simply put:
    What we need is basically what we already have - but in a WP Theme that is easy to maintain and works on different devices.

    When it is functioning we will focus on the visual design in a separate contest/job. Preferably with the same people, but good designers are not hard to find. Someone who can transform our database and existing website and fill it into a WP theme is first step.

    There has been THREE different failed attempts to get a new website that had the functions we need. They all looked good...!
    Since function is obviously important, this is why we try to get a working website first and then the design/aesthetics comes after, since that seems easy to find good people for.

    We will in the future also need some plugins like intranet for the working girls and an escort service.
    So we would like to find someone who can work for us in the future too. For this and other clients, likely.
    This client has just had such a bad experience that we really need to do something fast and this time it has to work.
    The budget is low, because they have paid so much money already for something that doesn't work.

      Also at one point a WooCommerce or something like that will be needed for a webcam service. This is not in near future, though. But this will be an "ongoing project". AFTER we finally get a new website that works.

    Is there any reason you want to use WordPress. Looking at the old website. I think a custom layout will be better and give you more control since you already have access to the database

      The client has tried a WP theme before and liked it.
      It is also easier if someone wants to change things visually/aesthetically. The one they have now was custom built and it is very difficult to get help from others who built it in case something needs to change. So they specifically asked for a WP theme
