Hi there world of supremely talented freelancers! I am your quintessential entrepreneur just trying to start a business and getting SUPER stoked to build a brand. That's where you come in. I am trying to start a private social and recreational club in the Rocky Mountains designed for people 28-40 years old. I want to start holding events with potential members and need a base brand to build stoke with. I'm looking for a logo of our name: Westbound.

Idk the design terms for this, but I’m looking for a super simple design. Just the text of Westbound and maybe a circle around it or just a subtle way to add an outline of a barn or sunset or something. No full drawings/compilations of mountains or scenes, just a super clean simple logo mark. looking to explore typefaces too.

More about the concept: Think 2 acres or trees and grass, outdoor pool, fire pits, volleyball courts, paddle tennis and tennis courts, and a rustic barn as the clubhouse. BYOB, BYOfood, low key, no froof, be yourself, authentic fun vibe, build your community and don't expect any pampering, just an awesome spot to spend your time and own your own experience. We'd have a bunch of programming like trivia nights, cooking classes, speakers, workouts, tournaments, woodworking, and volunteer events.
Our purpose: **We inspire people to live an extraordinary life; empowering them to do more, know more, and be better. **
We are still working on the vision, but you'll get the gist...**We believe passionately in the power of place, presence, and authentic interactions to better people’s lives. Our vision? Awesome places where people can better themselves, their friendships, and their communities in authentic ways.** We want a community of awesome people that can support each other and enjoy time spent doing cool things.
Mission also in the works but... **We give our members awesome places, experiences, and people to spend time with.**
Values - **intention, confidence, openness, ownership, wellness.**
Identity - our logo is going to be KEY to how members self-identify to the community. we don't want this to be a fancy, prestigious, exclusive identity...we want it to be awesome, real, powerful but peaceful, invigorating, warm, fresh, energetic, healthy, open, approachable, new.
LOGO - I'd like the logo to be relatively simple and it cannot just be specific to the rocky mountains, as we would like to add multiple locations on the west coast in the next two years.

A couple quick notes - We'd like 'Westbound' to be one word with no separation between the west and bound. We're digging marks that have circles around the text, or part of the text. Ok, I'm going to give you a piece of advise you didn't ask for, but you clearly need a few. Don't look at the entries as a combination of colors (or simple "cool" drawings). You are going to use the logo on a bunch of places, websites, cards, flyers, posters, etc. Imaging how these can be combined with whatever idea you have next. And I'm not talking about any particular entry. You are building a brand that you want to make a lifestyle and yet you are rating with 5, 4 and 3 stars hundreds of houses, roofs, windows, rivers, mountains, fonts, suns... I can keep going... So much details in a logo is never a good idea. It's going to be a mess when you start placing it in your printed materials. And this is not about receiving 1 star. I don't think my entry is worth winning, but... 4 stars to a cock ( #6 by Romdhon), to a font (#12 by Hridoy). Seriously?

  Hey, it's not about me. You can review my entry (or any other) as much as you want. If I'm not able to communicate clearly and directly with mi clients, it's very stressful trying to make sense out of your work. Imaging you pitching me your club (I'm within the age range) and you'd come to me saying: "Yo, V, I have this cool place with a bunch of activities..." Well, thanks, but no thanks. I have such and such on my plate. Unless you provide a solid product/service proposal, nothing is going to sell just by your enthusiasm. The same goes with design (and pretty much any other industry).

  Usually (more often than you can think of), whoever comes to Freelancer and start a contest it's because they have no clue of what they want. If that's your case, you are going to throw away your $100 because sooner than later you'll realize you made a mistake and will need another $100 to "re-brand". As far as the contest, you have to award someone, as far as results, start your business and along the way hire a real designer to work on your pitch based on real data and research. Anyway, if you need to share a word, or two, shoot me a line... Free of charge.
