I am planning to launch a a complete line of hair care products in USA. It includes shampoo, conditioner, hair gel, and all other styling products. I like to make a uniform look of this new line. Starting with a hair gel, I like to begin this project. Once the winner is selected, he/she will get exclusive design work for entire product line.

Sample Design Outline

IMPORTANT: Please SEE attached bottle and submit Hair Gel Label Design ONLY. I do not need box design

(1) Bottle and caps
- Cosmo Round bottle in see through color (please see attached image)
- Pastel color between hot pink and purple (color choice will be weighed heavily when selecting the winner)
- Cap: Disc-top (you may choose color)

(2) Target consumer group - Females age between 15 to 35, African-American.

(3) Sample Text (for privacy, brand name and text below are dummy, and real name and text will be provided after selecting winner.

- Volume - 10 oz
- Brand name - Hey Nabo
- Slogan - Beauty is in the detail.
- Product title - Spring Morning Hair Gel
- Short description - Gel and Go, Frizz-free Wet and Wavy,
- Long description - Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Nulla aliquet enim tortor at auctor.
- Use: Facilisis sed odio morbi quis. Proin nibh nisl condimentum id venenatis a condimentum. Phasellus egestas tellus rutrum tellus pellentesque eu tincidunt tortor aliquam.
- Ingredients: Sit amet consectetur adipiscing elit ut aliquam purus sit amet. Et netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas. Gravida neque convallis a cras semper auctor neque vitae. Adipiscing elit pellentesque habitant morbi tristique senectus et netus. Et leo duis ut diam quam.

  el cliente no siempre tiene la razón, si la tuviera, no necesitaría el apoyo de un diseñador. Es labor del diseñador hacerle entender al cliente que una cosa es su gusto personal y otra muy diferente lo que la marca necesitará para destacar de la competencia y conectar con la audiencia.
  Si los clientes supieran esto, se dejarían guiar.
  Es como si un paciente llegara con un médico a decirle que el tiene X enfermedad, pues ya se autodiagnosticó en internet, y viene pidiendo una cirugía, porque el no se la puede hacer por sí mismo.
  ¿Te imaginas que pasaría con el paciente?
  Lo mismo sucede con el cliente que no se deja orientar por el Diseñador. Es una pena, pero lo peor una lástima para el producto que representará la marca seleccionada; y probablemente una mala inversión para el propio cliente.

Thanks everyone for participating this contest. After my client review all the design, they will select the top 10 designs. I will then print it out and conduct public survey with about 100 target consumers. The winner will be announced no later than Oct. 19 (EST, USA Time).

Little surprised with how this is going with designs. Surely a brand wants to be bespoke and unique in its approach to jump off the shelf. The brand needs to own the space and not blend in with its surrounds. Brand assets need to be distinctive.

  @uvarovkv, here are 3 of us (I and 2 of my clients) using my id to check submissions. Your design was quite unique, why did you withdrew it? Yes, while looking for an indie professional designer, I also worry some might use the design from stock. Thanks for your input anyways.

Dear Sir! You had choose everyone for 5 stars rating, this is surprising, what wisdom is hidden in this? Either you want to appreciate of freelancers hard work. Now it is also difficult to understand for freelancers that what should they do further to approach direction while one day is still pending. CONTEST HOLDER: As you can see you will get a fair few designs, with only a fe standing out. It's all well and good pulling together a few elements together to make a design. My question is how many of the entries actually know how to design a range and more importantly understand even the simple rules to artworking. Not many on here would even know the rules around a barcode, minimum text size, bleed and so on.

  Andrew, thanks for your comment. I understand what you mean that some don't even know font size limitation. The client regularly uses a large graphic design studio here in the state who are very professional. But it was my argument and decision to run this contest. It is to think out of the box (which is risky) and find a hidden treasure somewhere.

  The contest is a great tool to have, by thinking outside the box it brings so many varied ideas and will help shape and develop the design route at a fraction of the price. Treat it like a research session to help find out what works and more importantly what doesn't.

Estimado, creo que es importante conocer si el producto contenido es fotosensible, por lo cual deberá necesitar una etiqueta que envuelva completamente, ya que en cosmética y otros el contenido puede perder sus propiedades. Se pueden hacer etiquetas completas o dos etiquetas frente y dorso. Actualmente llevo adelante una marca de cosmética y son cosas muy importantes a tener en cuenta para que el producto sea efica a la hora de llegar al consumidor.

  I plan not to wrap the entire bottle with label. The consumers like to see products inside. In other words, we will place label only on the flat surface of the bottle. It will definitely help to see your design accordingly when we will run a survey (100 female consumers on the street)

  Agreed the consumer loves to see what they are buying, even if it's a clear liquid. If these are being presented to the consumer, you may need to ask for higher res files of the design. As I believe that the site reduces the resolution when uploaded and may not be good enough to present.
