Please develop a corporate brand/logo for this new blog and information site. We will need:
Logo
o 2 colors preferred (max 3) but must look good in single color as well
o Logo element that can be used with or without the name
o The element can be to the side or above (preferable that it can work in either situation)
o Please specify the font used in the logo

Color scheme – this logo will determine the color palette of the site. Please recommend additional colors that should be used in other areas of the site (in addition to the logo colors).

Font selection – please identify fonts you suggest for titles, sub-titles and content on the site. It can be multiple different fonts but all should be web-safe and free for commercial use.

The website provides information, insight and tools for investors, real estate brokers and agents to build and grow a short-term rental business. Our slogan is “Taking Your Short Term Rental Business to the Next Level”. This slogan does not need to be integrated in the logo -- but it should give you a sense of our site.

The design should have a feel of the luxury hospitality world as well as the financial business world – strong, classy, and luxurious (but not over the top).

The final logo should be provided in a vector format (.PSD, or .AI and .EPS) and all colors and fonts specified.

Some miscellaneous notes: I'm not a fan of borders around the logo name -- it is hard to translate to other uses. I also don't want a circular logo. A circle element (small) is fine but overall the logo should have a horizontal "feel".

As to the acronyms. I'm leaning toward not using an acronym for the site (or in the logo). It certainly can't be only the acronym since the name of the company is the name of the site. I also am not a fan of BUH as the acronym since it is a bit close to DUH.

Fonts are tough, but important since this logo will be mostly text. I do not want to use a "script" font -- I prefer simple, clean text that is easy to read even if the person is just skimming. The fonts that strike me the best (for example purposes only) are #8, #11 , #17, #26, #39 and #42 -- just to give you an example of my sense of preferred style.

First, I'm seeing a good range of colors, the ones that I'm drawn to the most are the combinations of Blue/Black (but not too dark a blue), Gold/Grey and Green/grey. On the color - no gradient or other "effects" please.
