I have a poker app that needs a logo. (Website name in image below) I realize that doing work and not getting paid unless you beat 30+ other designs is not the most fair, so I am also looking to purchase designs from the entries that don't win to use as icons and graphics on the website. I will more than likely hire the winner to design more things for the app in a similar style to the logo.

Two logo ideas:
A) Poker suit (♡♢♤♧) with mechanical parts drawn intricately inside (hinting at the machine part of the name)
B) Poker face card as a robot or AI (artificial intelligence). The robot or AI should be intimidating or menacing, not happy or fun.

I'm attaching two images with random clip art that I found to give a better idea of what im looking for. The winner should provide Photoshop or illustrator files that I will be able to edit later to change colors or gradients.

Info on the app (not necessary to read) :
Uses game theory and extremely powerful computers to solve complex poker games. Used by professional high stakes players to analyze and study their game. If a player uses the strategies that the app shows, he will be playing an unbeatable strategy. The problem is that poker is a massive game, so its impossible for a human to memorize every strategy. This is where the app comes in by quickly displaying how to play any situation.

After letting my partners vote on the entries... the top choices so far:

First: #83
Tied for second: #99 and #33/30
- #99 looks good but the flat version does not and we cant use a 3D version.
- #33/30 was also really popular, but people said that it seemed a bit too generic and not sure on how to modify it to be more unique without making it look cluttered.

OK we might as well abandon the robot idea since I have yet to see a design that incorporates a robot that I would consider using. Even the best ones look to cartoony and don't really get the message across. I just think its very difficult to make a robot thats simple enough for a logo and yet doesnt look fun/happy/childish

The designs that are suits (spades/hearts/clubs/diamonds) + machine gears are on the right track, but they all need something more than just machine gears. Maybe something else mechanical or even something abstract mixed in would look better than a wallpaper of gears only.

The logo should incorporate "Poker" plus on of the following themes:
- Poker + Machine
- Poker + Robot (Scary/Tough/All Knowing Robot. Not fun/happy/silly robot.)
- Poker + Artificial Intelligence
- Poker + Game Tree (Google game tree if you not sure what I mean)

You can combine more than one of these themes, but a poker theme alone is not going to work.
