My responsibilities include the daily development, monitoring,...I currently work at the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, as an Administrator/ETL Developer for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence, where I am entrusted with the critical task of ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data processes. My responsibilities include the daily development, monitoring, and troubleshooting of ETL processes to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of data loads. This involves overseeing automated data extracts and the distribution of reports, as well as swiftly taking corrective action in the event of ETL process failures to maintain the integrity of our data streams. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of our data infrastructure, I am deeply involved in the administration of software upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting activities. This helps to ensure a stable ETL environment, allowing us to operate efficiently and effectively. I actively contribute to new ETL development initiatives while also maintaining existing ETL processes to continually enhance our data loading and transformation capabilities. Rigorous testing of ETL packages is a fundamental aspect of my role, ensuring that all developments meet stringent quality standards before implementation. I am proficient in monitoring and maintaining the Informatica Cloud/PowerCenter environment, where I facilitate the seamless mapping of data between source systems and warehouses. Additionally, I am involved in scheduling and testing system-wide upgrades to ensure that our databases evolve in alignment with the dynamic needs of our organization. Leveraging Unix and Windows operating systems, I devise innovative data solutions to address complex challenges, including the execution of R code for shell scripts in projects such as BU_Linking. The role is very appealing to me, and I believe that with my strong technical skills, experience and education make me a highly competitive candidate for this position. With a BSc degree in Information Technology, I have a comprehensive understanding of the full lifecycle of software development projects.
