We are seeking an experienced Android developer to create an app for us which is quite simple, but requires some very specific functions. The specifications are as follows, and requires that the app interface with a USB flash drive connected to the device.
The app should perform the following
1. open node.js on the android: The node install will need to be packaged within the app - and can't be expected to be pre-installed on the device.
2. Using node.js it should read the contents of a text file directly from the USB
2a. the contents of the text file shoudl be as follows: <HTML><H1>Serial= -=[Serial]=-</H1></HTML>
4. read the hardware serial number from the USB
3. Replace "-=[Serial]=-' with the serial # of the usb drive and then present that text file as rendered html on the screen.
5. provide an APK for testing.
the last step in this project will be the developer will be required to set up the build environment and test building the app in our Windows server environment (you will be given RDP) so that this app can be upgraded in the future.
This project requires solid experience with Android app development interfacing with external USB devices.
