We need a logo designed for a startup company offering educational technology kits. All kits are open-source in nature and it would be good if the logo reflected this. The website, which doesn't exist yet, will be at www.diyedukits.com. The key concepts for the logo are Education, Technology, DIY (Do It Yourself) and Open Source. Customers can either buy components from us or build them themselves based on the designs that we will openly publish.
We like clean designs. We like to marry Art and Technology. We like Apple. We are a part of the Maker movement. We love good design and everything clean, lean, black and white. We are engineers with a strong sense of purpose. We like to teach, and we like to learn. Our customers are typically high-school or college students, or parents, or teachers, or schools, or people who like to tinker and learn something new. The kits we develop will typically have a strong design with a clean user interface, straight-forward documentation and a clear educational purpose in life.
