Brief:
Design an app that can manage 100+ volunteers who teach classes across multiple locations, 6 days a week. Includes user account management, scheduling and drive integration.
User Facing:
- Option to view own schedule
- Option to view substitution requests
- Option to accept substitution requests which then modifies both schedules
- Option to comment on updates and announcements
- Option to view class assignment, lesson plans and portion ( drive integrated)
Moderator
- Option to add/remove users
- Option to add/remove/modify substitution requests
- Option to post/remove/edit updates and announcements
Updates and announcements
Required features: comments, sticky posts, RSVP (to confirm attendance for meetings)
Schedule
2 types of events are scheduled by moderators and assigned. Regular meets are repeated weekly on the same date for different batches of volunteers. One time events can also be scheduled.
Calendar view, day/week/month view. Mark as ‘cannot attend, need substitution’. Or mark as ‘available for substituting’
Substitution
Each user can mark on his/her own schedule the need for a substitute if they are unable to make it for a regular event. This is then pushed to a substitution list. Users can select respond if they are able to substitute on a particular date, and are then assigned that class.
Credits
Simple formula that assigns a score to each user based on number of classes attended/missed.
