I teach College Algebra at a nearby University and one of the problems my students have is factoring... Must be done in Java or VB or other nice GUI language... My guess is that only people comfortable with Math will be able to write this program... I would like a program that will Factor the following one or two variable polynomials that the students will input on the screen... Yes, I want the powers to look nice. A) Common Factor B) Difference of Squares C) Difference of Cubes D) Sum of Cubes E) Trinomials (and know when it can't be factored). and multiples of these...Please see the attached word documents...Please note, they are both the same, its just I saved it as two different versions in case you can't open one... Plus I want it to have an install script, be easy to use and easy for kids to put in exponents... That is what I want my primary bid to be on... However I want secondary bids... My first secondary bid is to be able to do factor by grouping, see the attached word document. I assume this is harder. My next bid I want, is for it to give tests...Randomly make up a bunch of problems in the category(ies) he/she wants and checks the answer. Don't forget the answer may be in a different order than the computer thought of...ie (A+B)(A-B) is the same as (A-B)(A+B)... Please note, if you don't know how to do the second or third thing, that is okay just bid on the first. Please do NOT bid on the second or third thing if you do not know how to do it. If I accept your bid, then we can either do your second or third bid as a private auction for that amount or as a bonus, whichever you prefer.
