Check Multiple POP in Wordpress

The following will describe a plugin for Wordpress. It will be up to the programmer to FIRST tell me if this is possible, one coder (not from here) says what I ask is not possible.

The concept is simple.

I AM AWARE that you can post to Wordpress via email (using a particular secret email), however what I want to do goes beyond this.

I want to create approximately 100 email accounts, which would correspond to an equal number of categories within Wordpress.

EXAMPLE

email1@[url removed, login to view] > category 1 on Wordpress

email2@[url removed, login to view] > category 2 on Wordpress

etc.

These categories would each be child categories of one main category.

What I want then is a plugin that will allow Wordpress to check my pop account (or multiple pop accounts) and each email that I receive would be directed to a specific category in Wordpress.

This needs to be done (after testing) automatically. One coder I talked to told me I could forward an email adding some text to the subject line. I do NOT want to do that, that would not accomplish my task. This MUST happen daily via cron (maybe multiple times daily) and each email would then be a post and all this should happen without my intervention.

IMPORTANT. I do NOT want all the emails to go to one category, they MUST each go their corresponding category.

Initially I will have 80 accounts and 80 categories, this may expand in the future.

Please let me know if this is possible and something that can be accomplished within a reasonable amount of time. I will entertain all bids, but do know I will favor a lower bid since there is not a lot of money available for this project.

Please let me know the amount of time this would take. I AM aware there are certain existing plugins for Wordpress that allow you to enhance the way WP checks POP.. (i.e.

**Postie**), but I do not think that will do the job.
