Bash Script - Modification or Rewrite

I have a partially working script that must run on a Debian server. The script is partially-working, but has some errors that need to be fixed. I need this done by Saturday. More (higher paying) work is likely to follow for a bidder that can get the job done right. The script will download files from the internet either via a list file or incrementation method. Speed is a must for this project! The script may need to be re-written in a language other than bash. There must be a method to retrieve files from a list and a method to retrieve files from a URL in an incrementing style ([url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], etc) and the script must handle https://, http:// and .php items, which shouldn't be a problem as it is currently set to use wget for this.
