I run a WordPress website that on each post has a music player (based on the popular JPlayer).

The problem is that the player doesn't cache the music tracks until the post is opened for the first time, so the first time to post is opened it takes ages to show the player (while it's caching the tracks).

I need a script that once the post is published, the post URL is passed to the script and the script opens it (to allow the player to cache the music).

This must happen invisibly. The user must not see this happening.

We have a server dedicated to running processing scripts (for various mp3 encoding etc) which could be used.

There is no way for the python script to be notified when a new post is made. So instead python script will query your wordpress database every x period of time (say 5 minutes) and check if any new posts has been made Další
