I have a website with information about airline baggage fees. I am looking for help to check whether the information on my website is up-to-date compared to the information on each airline's official website.
This is a test project for the first 5 airlines. If we are both happy with the work, I would like to work together to proceed for about 100-150 airlines to update, and likely more. Depending on the airline, sometimes it will take much longer than expected (I prefer the work to be done properly, not sloppy), in which case you will be compensated extra for if a specific airline takes much more time than expected. As a guideline, I would expect to pay about $4-5 for the easier airlines, about $8-$10 for more complicated airlines with lots of changes/rewrites, or even up to $15 if needs to be completely redone.
For each airline, you will compare the information on the official airline website vs my site, and check that it is up-to-date in the following categories:
Carry-On Baggage
Checked Baggage
Excess/Overweight/Oversize Fees
Sports Equipment (usually 8-10 specific sports, such as Golf, Bicycles, Surfboards, etc.)
The task will be to review the information for each airline on my website (Carry-On Baggage, Checked Baggage, Excess/Overweight Baggage, Sporting Equipment), and to find that same information on the airline's official website to confirm whether the policies/prices/fees/rules that are displayed are correct, or to note the differences/what needs to be updated. Please find attached a sample spreadsheet of what will need to be filled out, and how.
- If a section is up-to-date, note that everything is OK, and paste the link to the exact page on the airline's website where you were able to confirm that it is correct.
- If the info needs to be updated (minor changes, eg. only a few numbers need to be updated), you will have to note the changes that are required on the spreadsheet, along with the URL from the airline's website where you found that information
- If the information needs to be updated (major changes, for example the entire section needs to be redone), you will have to rewrite the content for that section using the new information that you found. It is important this is NOT copied/pasted, but rewritten in a way that very clear/easy to understand for visitor to the site looking for that information. You will need to provide the URL(s) from the airline's website on which the content is based. If it takes much longer than expected to do so, you will be compensated extra. It is very important that this content be well written.
- If you cannot find the information on the airline's website, you will need to note that you weren't able to find that information.
You will need to be able to read and interpret the text from the airlines's official websites, to understand the policies they have provided. Depending on the airline, sometimes this information is very clear and easy to find, and you will be able to complete an airline in about 5 minutes, but with some other airlines it might be more complicated to find all of the information, requiring a bit more time/dedication to find it, about 15-20 minutes or even up to 30 min. You may need to look through multiple pages on the airline's site to find all of the relevant information, sometimes you might need to check through the "Contract of Carriage" to find it, or to input some dummy content into the airline's "Baggage Calculator" to find the baggage prices for different destinations.
