I have 3 sensors that connect to my Windows Vista computer. They are all USB HID devices so I don't need any special drivers to use them. I need to be able to read the data streaming from these devices in a python script and then save the data to a text file.
I don't know much about python or USB HID but I was told to get "libusb-win32" and put it on my computer which I have done. I was also told to get pyusb and put it on my computer which I was told is a wrapper for libusb-win32.
I need someone to create a python script that can read the 3 sensors input via their Serial Numbers which I have for each sensor and then save that data, one set of data per line in a text file. Also, I need someone to help walk me through to make sure I have libusb-win32 and pyusb installed correctly on my computer. Libusb-win32 appears to be installed correctly as I can run the test script that comes with it. Pyusb I don't know if it is installed correctly I need help with knowing if that is installed correctly and if not then directions on how to install it correctly.
There is this post on a website that shows someone doing mostly what I need on linux with Python and libusb using the sensor I have if this helps. He wrote a module you can download on his website at the below link. I just need to do this on Windows with 3 sensors and save the data in a text file:
