We are a small Xenforo forum, with less than 1k members, and we are being attacked constantly. Our hosting plan is shared and when we get attacked, our site gets taken offline. We want to move to a reputable host, but most of the good hosts don't seem to accommodate novices like us. We need somebody with knowledge in net security (and ideally Xenforo hosting) who can help us to secure our website and perhaps host it somewhere like OVH. We could pay for a consultancy and then later award another contract for helping us set this up.

I would create a couple of scripts to filter the clients with highest network traffic and ban those who are using too much data.
