Help with Wordpress site

I am looking for someone to help me with plugin installation for my Wordpress site. I already have the domain and hosting set up, and I will be adding my own content to the site.
I have the website up and running for a few years and when I tried editing it today it kept coming up with the white error page. I realised this was due to a plug-in error (co blocks). I could not update any of the plugins. There are currently 8updates. I then installed transmit to re name the plug in but this wouldn’t work and I accidentally deleted it. This has caused the error code to go but now my entire website is published in code. When I try to reinstall it using my SFTP credentials, another error comes up saying it is unable to connect to server. This same error comes up when I try update any plugin or theme.
Can someone fit this ?
