Quality Control Script to Automate Checking Channels for Downtime

I have 220 TV Streaming Channels all with different embed codes in Mongo Database. These channels play from different sources/servers. The embed codes vary from <iframe>, <object> (Fash), <script>, and many more embed codes.
The challenge for me is Quality Control. I do not have time to manually check 200+ Channels for issues such as downtime or to check what channels are not working. I am a very busy guy.
I want a script created to automate the task for me of checking the TV Channels. The script must be able to read the (embed) codes from mongo on my web site. The script much check for the following: Offline, Response for Uptime, downtime, etc
The Script must check every channel automatic per week. It must check for a RESPONSE from each channel. If the Channel is not working. I then must get a report or notification. And then i will go fix the channel myself.
