Passion, that’s what life is all about, right?
After about roughly 15 years in fast paced international companies, I have acquired several skills that are imperative if you want to succeed in such company. I haven proven myself to a quick learner, a bridge builder, a very precise analytical person, and a strategic person. Not only in relations, but also in they way I have always managed my job and built strategies around product marketing and how to effectively boost and inspire the sales force to sell those products. It allowed me to get to know the big engine an international company is, and that each part his it’s role to play. If one part is malfunctioning, the engine does not work! A very valuable lesson indeed…
Often, you see those motivational speeches pass by on your LinkedIn account. Like the one that says that you don’t need talent to be on time etc. Hard work, compassion, genuine interest, ability to pick up on things, building good relations internally and externally don’t require talent. They require patience, intent and flexibility. Those things are known to characterize me as a person. Ask any person I work or have worked with ?
My life motto is: you never stop learning. It shows, as I have studied several years Spanish and Portuguese besides my day job. I have enrolled as a freelance guide in Antwerp, after being selected and followed intense training, and now, I am getting an TEFL degree to be able to remote teach English. I must admit: I am fascinated by languages, cultures and wandering the world in search of knowledge, experiences and fun.
Always follow your dream, as they say. I did so in 2019 taking up on a challenge to travel to Mexico to help starting up a tourism agency. One year later, I have decided to fully go for it and go and live in Mexico working as a freelancer in several areas such as tourism and language classes. I will be able to use all the expertise and knowledge I gained over the past years in this wonderful new projects.
