As a highly intelligent, motivated and flexible social research professional, I have developed a wide range of useful general skills. I have developed skills in communication, interviewing, researching, scriptwriting, graphic design, teaching, presentation, photography and have gained experience as a media designer and product marketer. I am fully computer literate and competent in the use of graphic design and word-processing software.
I seek a profitable opportunity to deepen and widen my experience in the fields of research, publishing, and intercultural communication and exchange. Anthropology, history and my travels through Africa, Europe, and the U.S. have made me aware of cultural and historical differences and commonalities alike. It has convinced me of the need for effective communication and exchange.
I envision working on contract or independently for companies, organizations or (in a researching, lecturing and tutoring capacity) for academic institutions that are politically, culturally, socially or environmentally active. I wish to use my skills to enhance intercultural dialogue in order to foster relations that are mutually beneficial to all parties involved.
Accordingly, I seek employment as a journalist, researcher, consultant, facilitator or teacher. My understanding of languages, culture, society, history, and conflict management also suggests opportunities as a conflict mediator and researcher in a corporate environment or as a translator and cultural communications consultant for internationally active corporations.
