Hi I would like some advice on project I am considering. I am an accountant and I have designed a spreadsheet which can • Import a csv bank statement • Summarise the bank statement • Produce an account posting summary for entry to an accounting system • Prepare a VAT return • Produce summaries for petty cash, credit cards etc • Produce summaries of accounting transactions to be “making tax digital “(MTD) compliant This spreadsheet is widely used within my accountancy practice and saves a considerable amount of time. In most cases our clients provide us with paper or pdf bank statements which we convert into a csv file using third party software. I would like to take this system and try and market it for use by • Fellow accountants to use within their practice. Charging a licence fee depending on the number of clients they have. • Clients so they can pass the information directly to their accountants • Customers so they can make their own VAT and MTD submissions I am looking for help in • Producing a website to use this service • Market it in UK and possibly worldwide • Take money • Offer support to prospects and customers • Be updated for changes in tax legislation.
