Hi there, I was very happy to learn that you are looking for handcrafted, old-school illustrations in watercolours or coloured pencil. I'm a traditionally trained artist and I've been working as an old-school illustrator for many years, mostly on children's books. I exclusively work by hand on paper and I deliver either digital files (high res scans) or send the originals via courier mail. most of my chiildren's books illustrations have been in watercolours or coloured pencils and sometimes with pen and ink drawings. As several most recent projects are not showcased yet, please feel free to write to request more samples if you are interested. In the process of work I first draft the storyboard and design the characters, then sketch the scenes in pencil. In this phase unlimited revisions are possible, until we are completely happy with the result. I then proceed with painting or colouring. I can work both independently or in permanent communication, whichever suits you better. Please note that both the quote and the timeline are only provisional and that I would be able to give you more precise estimation once we discuss the number and the type of illustrations you are after.
