I'm configuring an Ubuntu server and I want that specific users can access though FTP clients to certain folders, but I don't want them to be able to see in SFTP specific files in that folder, but I can't figure out how can I do it. I have test with ACL and it appears to do the same in this kind of problem, users can still see the rest of files, although I don't know if there could exist any other option for ACL that could help in this case.

Dear, maybe you are not using the correct product, I think you need to install advanced FTP services. Surely the tests with sftp, that you are doing is to obtain greater security, but as maybe you are using standard SFTP that is installed by default in the operating system, this is limiting you the control of the files, that is why you obtued to use ACL. If you need both: Security and Control. You must install an FTP service with SSL or TLS support and ready.
