DEVELOP A MOBILE APPLICATION TO ANALYSE THE BATTERY PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT SMARTPHONES.

General description “The most hated fact on smartphones is still the short accessibility time of the smartphone until it goes off, because the battery runs empty. This work is about to find out how well different smartphones work together with their batteries. Some people with a general same usage of their smartphone have to charge their smartphone more often. To find out which smartphone works best with its battery, a developed app shall collect data from different devices on which the app is installed. The data are information about the battery status when the device is plugged in/out and information about the device itself. With this collected data it should be possible to find out user of which device need to recharge their smartphone most and least. The more data will be collected the more specific will the result are. Using this app during years, the user can see how the battery life time has changed. Of course the recharging cycle will be increased. This can be compared with other devices.” RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The overall objective of this is to develop a mobile application to analyse the battery performance of the smartphones. This will be achieved through the following specific sub-objectives: 1. Design and implement a client-side mobile application to monitor and collect energy state of the battery upon plug and unplug of the device from the charger (USB and AC). 2. Develop a server-side application that store and analyse the data from client application when the phone is plugged-in and out from the charger
