Backend work for portal in asp

We are looking for developers to do the backend of a portal. ..................................................................................................................................... The portal will need robust database structure that will allow for scaling up of the portal. The logic has to allow for consumer profiling and enable data mining to be carried out from an online module through dynamic queries. The Portal site will be designed as a matrix of conventional portal facilities (in depth) crosscut with the service needs of identified on-line communities (in breadth). Each portal facility (or function) will be sub-divided separately to meet the needs of each community, and each community will as a consequence be served in every area. For example, two of the required functions will be Mailing Lists and Polls; two communities would be Sports and [login to view URL], the Portal will offer Sports Mailing List, Sports Polls, BuinessMailing List, and BusinessPolls. Adding a community should be a trivial task. Adding a function will typically require quite a bit of design and programming. However, the site structure must allow for new functions to be added by Africa Online. ..................................................................................................................................... Each user will have a record in the database containing information that they have entered voluntarily via the registration form and also values collected by a personalization server concerning their actions on the site. Users will be encouraged to register with the site in order that information about them can be gained and personalization provided. A users ‘account’ with the site will be validated by a unique username and password. Both will be of a minimum of 6 characters long. Using SSL security. There will be different sections e.g. entertainment, business and these will have different subsections. It needs to be intelligent enough to serve ads to visitors depending on where they are on the site, as well as registered users using already submitted information. It should allow for the use of rich media advertising (see eyeblasters). The site will provide one or more areas on each page on which adverts are to be shown. The adverts will be run from a server; the content management system should allow tagging the adverts with the appropriate keywords. These keywords will be the same as those are used for the tagging of content and users of the site. The site will write a cookie back to users system with the appropriate keywords for their personal profile and their current location (i.e. which community page they are on) The advert server then reads this cookie and displays an appropriate advert in the space provided according to the keywords associated to that advertisement earlier. .....................................................................................................................................
