I will require an eBay style / Buy Sell website. (Portfolio required) I am a digital designer and know CSS to be able to style elements, so if this can reduce costs and make it easier to work with you that would be great. If you can work with a pro looking, clean prebuilt template style that is fine as well - There won’t be any auctions; it will only be buy, sell and make an offer. I am trying to keep my site simple at this point, so it won’t be anywhere near as blotted as eBay. - I am developing a plan so this should make it easier to follow my instructions. It’s almost complete. - I am predicting it to be about a 20-25 page site. - Keep the code clean and commented for future development. - If we can utilise a CMS that would be fantastic, if it’s a ground up build, please include an admin panel of some sort. Other components / elements will include: - The hardest component IMO that will require building is for the user to be able to draw a rectangular marque around a part of an image, then for the DB to capture / copy / crop that selection and store it as an image in the DB for use elsewhere on the site. I believe JQuery have a plug in here for example. [login to view URL] - Picture uploading to my site, click to enlarge, thumbnails etc. - Video integration utilizing youtube to embed video’s as well as allows users to upload easily to youtube. - Google maps embedding. - User DB Search facility with some refine options including Distance from location search facility. Very similar to the search facility on this site: [login to view URL] - Drop down menu’s and tabs. - Contact forms - (Offer’s) user input, user accept, counter and deny. - User accounts, profiles, general account details, name, address etc. + Login / Password. - Mail manager, inbox, sent, deleted. - Payment gateway facilities, Paypal and credit card input. Will be having free listings but would like to take a % of the sale fee. FUTURE ADOPTION. When coding please keep in mind for future adoptions, (won’t be in first build) - Target other countries, not just Australia. - Build a Facebook app to integrate with the site. - Mobile / iPhone apps.
