I need a plug-in written for a schematic capture and spice simulation program.
This plug-in DLL will simulate a microcontroller family such as ATMEL, INTEL, Motorola, Microchip etc.
The simulator will allow the user to specify a program hex file to be simulated, the simulator will allow the user to see the dissasembly of the hex file, single step, break points, trace, watch, change/examine memory etc like a debugger.
The simulated Microcontroller will also interact with other components in the spice circuit, for example iinput and output voltages to/from the processor pins. Functions to read/write voltages already exist in a library.
The first part is to make a basic architecture that can simulate many different processor families, for example PIC18 family, ATMEL AVR family, ARM family etc.
A configuration file will specify the characteristics for a specific processor for simulation, for example PIC18F452 from the PIC18 family. The configuration file would have things like which peripherals are included (SPI, I2C, UART, Watch Dog etc) and the memory map, amount of RAM, FLASH, EEPROM etc. Second part is implementation (coding and testing).
After this project is completed, I want to simulate almost all processors as seperate projects. So once the first one is completed, I can easily hire you again for many other processors in the family, or for other processor families.
Program runs on windows using Visual C/C++ and MFC.
Written in Visual C/C++ and MFC.
You can modify open source code if you want (example gdb, ddd open source debugger) or start from scratch.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
