Correct PHP error after PHP upgrade "The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead"

I upgraded my php version on [login to view URL] from 5.2 to 5.6 and now i'm getting the following error: Error message: Deprecated: mysql_connect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /home4/boyessen/public_html/newphilly/php/[login to view URL] on line 22 I'm getting this same error on multiple/all my website pages. I would like to have someone correct my code for one page and I'll implement the fix on my other pages, if possible. I would also like the new compatibility to be added to be compatible with newer PHP versions up to the newest 7.1.
