Virtual Assistant (China)

The business I head is focused on agricultural trade and investment between Australia and China. A key part of this business is the export to China of Australian agricultural products such as beef, lamb, milk, fruit etc. I have spent many years living and working in China. The business is looking for a part-time experienced assistant to handle a wide range of daily business and personal administrative tasks, with most tasks able to be completed from home. The candidate must be a native Chinese 普通话 speaker with good English communication skills. Must be a China native, preferably based Beijing, but candidates based in other China locations also will be considered. Tasks: - Complete general Chinese-English translation tasks as required. - Handle a range of general administrative tasks as required. - General follow-up with Chinese companies and government agencies as required. - Conduct general research tasks as required. - Assist in arranging appointments in China. - From time-to-time can meet with me face-to-face when I visit China. Skills & Experience: - Candidate should be a mainland Chinese national, preferably a Beijing local, but applicants from other China locations will be considered. - Native mandarin Chinese 普通话 speaker. Other Chinese dialects a bonus, e.g. 广东话, 上海话, 福建話. - Good spoken and written English. - University graduate with at least two years post graduate work experience. - Prior experience with an international company preferred, with agricultural and/or food and beverage experience an advantage. - Proactive, able to problem solve and able to work with minimal supervision/guidance. - Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Office, as well as a solid knowledge of Chinese social media 中国社交媒体.
