I've been in IT for 15 years, supporting small businesses and individuals with their networks, computer issues, and misc projects. I've done more malware and virus cleanup jobs than I can count. I've also had to tell many people bad news, so I'll prepare you right now: Many of these ramsomware have no available decrypt tool, so if that's the case, your only option is to restore from backup after cleaning the server.

Hello! I wish i had good news for you but it seems that you have been targeted by so called ransomware. Your data are encrypted with a 2048 RSA key which means that decryption is not possible without the passphrase. The only way is to contact people who did it. Please read up on the web about this. I'm just letting you know because some people may try to sell you some snake oil and run with your money instead of solving the problem. It is possible to remove the virus (called CERBER usually but there are several variants) but decryption of files is another subject completely.

Good morning, The first thing I would recommend is to take the server offline. I have had to deal with similar issues in the past, and these ransom ware attacks can propagate over the network to other servers and workstations if allowed. Do you have a working backup solution to recover the most recent backup of files that were located on the server? We can try AV scans, but if it is what I think it is then that won't do us any good. The least I can do is take a look at the situation and give you my best recommendation on how to proceed based on my initial analysis.
