iOS audio project

Dear all, We seek a highly experienced iOS (audio experience) developer who can create a simple iOS client which uses our video/audio stream. We have already created the video iOS client and you only need to add audio to it (for personal reasons the developer who started the project could not finish it and you will get his 100% working video source code). You can do this by playing very simply audio stream via tcp http connection from an Android app (so you need both an Android and iOS device for testing !!!) which we will provide you with (http headers are followed by a continuous stream of raw audio). The audio is raw uncompressed sample rate 8000 PCM 16 bit mono, so can be easily managed or manipulated. We suggest you initially open this connection with iPhone code, then after the http response headers, watch the rate and size of byte flow and the raw PCM bytes. You will be able to see from the paired byte data and amplitude that you are receiving correct audio. You will also be able to confirm the format as mono and which endian. There is a possibility you may have to manipulate this data for a format acceptable to iPhone, eg make stereo or flip endian, but that would very much surprise us. As far as we know the iPhone seems to have a number of apis to handle sound so you may be able to write that byte stream to play directly, with the apis handling all buffering. If you can read the raw PCM bytes and get it to play on iPhone then most of the job is done. The stream connection handling and threading is all that may really be a little important and can be looked at that once you have a playing stream. If you have to build any buffering then we can provide you with a working (Android) model. So the two steps are to read the byte data from the http stream, and then play these raw bytes through an iPhone audio api. We expect the format may need no modification, there is no decoding, and iPhone seems to have established apis to buffer and play PCM, as well possibly to read from a bytestream.
