I am excellent in embedded design & programming using pic, dspic controllers and MATLAB codding for Power projects, Boot loaders, Bluetooth & GPS designs,CAN communication, EEprom. UART , RF circuits ,Protocols for networking, wi-Fi routers,OBD diagnosis with CAN bus protocols, Electrical vehicles and AC drives, stepper motor controls. Hi, Actually I am working in the embedded software industry. My jobs mostly related to porting and sometimes designing new features for automotive bootloaders which are based on CAN, Flexray, Ethernet. I have also used other protocols like SPI, UART, I2C. I think you work is very much related to what I do. From you description I can tell that the ublox modem will likely be connected with your target MCU via SPI, I2C, or UART. Dear client, I'm an european electronic engineer, expert on firmware and microcontrollers. I have +15 years of profesional experience, 6 of them with MSP430 micro controllers; and I've developed some bootloaders including one for MSP430F169 which received the firmware through RF using a SPI connected RF module. What is important when doing a booloader is that bootloader itself must placed in a special region of memory, and all the boot loader code must be executed from RAM memory. Paying attention at that, Texas Instruments has put a very flexible and well explained Flash Controller inside MSP430 microcontrollers, so it is really easy to develop (but it is needed to test it carefully).
