Data Visualization Integration for Zabbix Network Monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog

Project Overview: We are seeking a skilled freelancer to integrate data visualisation capabilities into our existing Zabbix network monitoring system. The goal is to create a more user-friendly and visually appealing dashboard allowing easy monitoring and analysis of critical network metrics and triggers. The visualisation tools to be utilised include Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog, and the data will be sourced from Zabbix, which is currently installed on a Synology NAS as a Virtual Machine. Project Objectives: • Integration of Visualization Tools: The freelancer will integrate one of the following data visualisation tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog) with the existing Zabbix infrastructure, enabling seamless data flow between these systems. • Data Source Configuration: Set up appropriate data sources in the chosen visualisation tool to extract data from Zabbix. This will involve connecting the visualisation tool and the Zabbix Virtual Machine. • Dashboard Creation: Create interactive and dynamic dashboards within the chosen visualisation tool. These dashboards should present real-time and historical data from Zabbix in an intuitive and visually appealing manner. • Trigger Visualization: Implement a visual representation of triggers and their states on the dashboard. This will allow the monitoring team to identify critical events and take immediate action quickly. • Customization and Styling: Customize the dashboard's appearance to align with the organisation's branding and specific requirements. Ensure the dashboard is easy to navigate and comprehend for different user roles. • Data Analysis and Insights: Work closely with the project stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics most relevant to the organisation's network monitoring needs. Visualise these metrics effectively to provide valuable insights. • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Prepare comprehensive documentation detailing the integration process, configurations made, and any troubleshooting steps. Provide knowledge transfer to the internal team to ensure they can independently maintain and expand the visualisation system. Project Deliverables: • Integrated and fully functional visualisation tool (Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog) connected to the Zabbix Virtual Machine. • Interactive and visually appealing dashboards displaying critical network metrics and trigger states. • Customized dashboard layout and styling that reflects the organisation's branding. • Documentation outlining the integration steps, data source configurations, and any customisations made during the project. • Knowledge transfer session with the internal team to ensure they are equipped to operate and manage the visualisation system.
