Garment Designing for infant knitted garments

We are seeking a skilled and creative freelancer with expertise in garment designing for newborns to join our team. As a freelance garment designer, your primary responsibility will be to design knitted accessories such as caps, mittens, booties, and bibs for newborn babies. You will have the opportunity to bring your innovative ideas to life while ensuring that the designs are comfortable, practical, and safe for newborns. Responsibilities: - Develop unique and appealing designs for knitted accessories for newborns, including caps, mittens, booties, and bibs. - Stay updated with the latest fashion trends and industry standards in newborn garment design. - Research and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to identify new design opportunities. - Collaborate with the team to understand design requirements, target audience, and brand aesthetics. - Create sketches, illustrations, or digital renderings of design concepts to present to the team for review and approval. - Collaborate with other team members, including textile experts, to select appropriate yarns, colors, and embellishments for the designs. - Continuously iterate and improve designs based on feedback from the team, customers, or production teams. - Stay informed about safety regulations and guidelines related to newborn products to ensure compliance in design and production processes. Requirements: - Proven experience as a garment designer, preferably with a focus on newborn or infant accessories. - Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing knitted accessories. - Proficiency in using design software and tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar applications. - Familiarity with different yarn types and their properties, as well as knowledge of color theory. - Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to newborn products is preferred. - Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong organizational skills. - Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative designs. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, suppliers, and manufacturers.
