Hello Freelancer , I want to do “OCR to Mysql” with google vision ai / vision api for extract lotto number from lotto image project . Please check my flow diagram and lotto image sample in attachment 1. Our staff will scan all lotto and upload to /etc/lotto-original folder . 2. Our staff will command to run your bot script . 3. Your bot script will detect lotto image in /etc/lotto-original folder and working on it one by one 4. Use google vision api (ocr) to extract text from lotto image . I need 3 information from each lotto . 4.1 Lotto number 4.2 Lotto barcode number 4.3 Lotto date 5. After you get above lotto information then add new record to mysql database. 6. Move finish extract lotto to /etc/lotto-finish folder . 7. Start working on next lotto image in /etc/lotto-original folder again until no file in /etc/lotto-original folder This’s only sample flow from my idea ( I don’t know much in programming ) so If you’ve any suggestion , please let me know . I’m prefer to run this bot script in linux operating system and I’m prefer to use php-cli to run the script .

Hi there, I can do the job for you, but I have a question - why do you specifically want to or need to use an external API (Google Vision API) for extracting information from the scanned images? It is possible to do it locally which would be faster and more efficient especially considering you want to model the application as a command line software to be run locally on a Linux based system. Doing it locally means it is faster and you don’t have to do external requests and is more secure as well. I can implement it using the external Google API as well, but my suggestion would be to use local OCR processing to get the job done.
