CREATIVE BRIEF – LumoTyreTM DUE DATE: Tuesday 5th October BACKGROUND: We are designing an innovative bike product: a glow in the dark bike tyre for night riding visibility for cyclists. This product will be a product extension of the brand RoadRing and part of this parent company. RoadRing: [login to view URL] Product Category: Safety Tyres THE PRODUCT: LumoTyreTM LumoTyre is a world-class innovative bike tyre that glows in the dark for extreme night cycling vision. This enables cars to clearly see bike riders at earlymorning/dusk/night. The whole tyre will illuminate/glow in the dark. The tyre uses kinetic energy and through heat will begin to glow in the dark when the sun sets or rises. It’s made with environmentally sustainable materials and is working in partnership with Bikes 4 Life where they collect, restore and provide bicycles to some of the most marginalised & impoverished communities around the world. OBJECTIVES OF BREIF: - To receive final product concept for the new Bike Tyre. - To receive a logo for the product. - To receive a final concept of product packaging. REQUIREMENTS: • Logo • Package Design • Product Design: The LumoTyre BRANDING GUIDELINES: The branding should reflect the modern nature of the bike tyre and also highlight an element of sustainability through the colours used and by placing the ‘Bikes for Life’ logo on the package. Colour Palette: - Green (fluro) - Black - Grey THE LOGO: This should include the brand name: LumoTyre and be indicative that it is a tyre for a bicycle. IDEA: Perhaps in the logo for the letter ‘O’ could be the tyre? THE PACKAGING: We are aiming to incorporate elements of sustainability into the product, so we want a cardboard packaging. The tyre will be deflated but it doesn’t necessarily need to be in a box. The cardboard could go around it where you can see the tyre through the way it overlaps the deflated tyre.
