Write an Android application

Hi; At the moment I am considering a proof of concept of a three stage system. As I am funding this from my own pocket cost is a major issue. I have tried this and others which are the close to what I would like. [login to view URL] Stage one is upon pressing a pressy type button the app transmits two SMS to two (2) preprogrammed cell numbers. The first is a simple preprogrammed identifier code i.e 12345678 10XX This needs to be done immediately. Then the app should power up the GPS and onee the location is established, resend the identifier code and the GPS coordinates. Klick uses a clickable link which is cool although needs to use google. I do not want the end user to be able to view or change any of these numbers, codes etc. You will note Klick also uses the ring function. This is not essential. What is vitally important is that the app must continue to resend the SMSs until acknowledged by the network. I found with Klick that if the phone is searching for a better site / temporarily out of service when the button is pressed Klick gives up trying to send the SMS and obviously cannot ring. That is not acceptable for the purpose I wish to use it. So, long press or multi-press the pressy button and app send the texts. That's it for stage one. Stage two would be to add the ability to send a different text message possibly user configurable to different number via the app screen. Stage three would be to have a timer trigger an alert every 30 or 60 minutes (user selectable) to remind user to send that stage two message. Probably incorporating the send message function in the reminder i.e. a pop up, 'Press to Send Message" or something like that. Longer term, a server side program to receive and process this info via IP rather than SMS (with fall back to SMS if send via IP fails for any reason) would be an idea but that would require funding I don't have but a proof of concept might allow me to get.
