I've been using Linux/GNU distributions for years. My first was Crunchbang, a pre-packaged Debian distribution. I then experimented with Fedora for a while, through out my time in college.
I now use straight Debian on my personal machine and Xubuntu, which is Ubuntu with the XFCE desktop environment, on my work machine. So I most definitely know Ubuntu. I even use a remote Free BSD server, which doesn't directly relate to what you want, but needless to say I love experimenting with different operating systems. This would not only be a cakewalk for me, but I would enjoy doing it.
If you want Ubuntu set up the way you want it and some tech support to back you up for a few days, you got it right here.
Please get back to me.
