Create awareness of our child care center and school as a leader in non-traditional education through positive local press. Present the “story” of the school, its roots, its non-traditional teaching methods, and its results to the public as an exceptional option to current traditional programs (both public and private schools). --get print write-ups in various local/national publications --media coverage local/national --expert speaking engagement opportunities (even if no compensation), education or child care discussion panels All background information is on our website - www.foundationsschool.com. Please review our milestones for a few more details. Milestones: 1.) Get one positive local article published--$500 --Atlanta Journal Constitution or Marietta Daily Journal; other publications within 20 miles of Atlanta, especially Kennesaw or Marietta, may be considered but need to be approved first --article can be published in print but must be available online to link to 2.) Get positive local TV media coverage at Foundations--$500 --ideas: show our students testing in non-traditional ways (on the classroom couches on iPads would make a great shot!); commentary on the state of testing, and alternatives that make it better and more relevant 3.) Get us invitation to participate in discussion panel or as a speaker on some education topic relevant to us (review website for more)--$500 --brain research and how it applies to education --progressive education --quality child care --homework (our students don’t need it)
